New Regulations for Shipping Lithium Batteries

Please be informed that the Lithium Batteries Consignments will have significant changes according to the 54th edition of IATA Dangerous Good Regulations with effective from 01 Jan 2013. Please find below points for your easy reference.

  • Dangerous Goods Fee will be applied for all shipment with Lithium Battery
  • For UN3480 , PI 965 ( Lithium Ion Battery / Cells ) can be moved by Bulk Only, Inspection fee Will be applied.
  • For UN3481 (PI 966 Lithium Ion Batteries/Cells which packed in Equipment ) & PI 967 ( Lithium Ion Batteries / Cells which contained in Equipment ), consolidation can be arranged.
  • For UN3091 (PI 969 Lithium Metal Batteries/Cells which packed in Equipment ) & PI 970 (Lithium Metal Batteries / Cells which contained in Equipment ), consolidation can be arranged.
  • UN 3090 Lithium Metal Batteries ( PI 968 ) will be embargo
  • Inspection fee for each shipment will be applied
